Sears Protection Agreements complete failure


I purchased Kenmore dryer and a Sears protection agreement. My dryer stopped drying clothes this year. I called many many times for repair. In August, Sears came out and ordered a panel replacement part for the dryer that had not been working for months properly- i.e. 3 hours to dry 4 hand towels. The technician ordered the wrong part, installed the wrong part and completely broke the dryer. I called Sears for several more months, and finally customer solutions set up a new appointment 11.6.12. The tech never showed. Another wasted day of waiting for Sears and 20 calls later, a new tech came out on the 14th. He saw that the August tech had installed and ordered a wrong part that broke the dryer. He ordered a new part. The new part was back ordered for a long time. No dryer at all for months and no repairs and no remedies from Sears. The part finally arrived on the 19th. This is after the protection agreement maximum time for repairs. No technician scheduled, in fact Sears refuses to provide a tech to do the repair despite having a protection agreement. Sears refuses to replace the dryer that they broke. In fact Sears refuses to respond other then to say we do not qualify for a replacement.

Sears thinks it is ok to come into your home and break a major appliance and not be responsible for the subsequent damage.

My Protection agreements from Sears are worhtless. Sears does not have appointments available and technicians make mistakes and Sears takes no responsibility for these errors that ruin customers appliances.

I do NOT recommend ever buying a Kenmore product again because Sears does not service in a timely fashion and the protection agreements are a joke.
