Sears Service - wall oven repair - Whirlpool Built-in Wall Oven and Microwave


The door in my wall open broke on January 5, 2015. I called Sears to schedule a repair and the person on the phone ordered a part. The part ordered turned out to be the wrong part (customer service rep on phone ordered a microwave door rather than an oven door). When the technician came on January 14, he found this error. He ordered the correct part and rescheduled the appointment for the week (January 19--today). The new part (glass door for wall oven) was not received and therefore the oven again cannot be repaired.

I called Sears and found out that the part ordered last week was broken in transit on January 15. According to the tracking information the Sears rep gave me when I called today, Sears received notification from UPS on January 15 that this ordered was damaged in transit and discarded. No one from Sears reacted to this information until I called today to say no part had been received and my repair couldn't be made today

I've been on the phone with 5 representatives from Sears today. Supposedly a new part has been ordered; however, I have no date of repair scheduled. So it is looking as if my family will be without an oven for another week or two.

Another joke--yesterday someone from Sears called me to ask if I was pleased with the service work last week. I told her no and explained. She said she would follow up--of course, she did not.
