Refrigerator not cooling


After 5 phone calls (over weeks) to Sears repair service to understand their options (5 calls because their representatives accents are foreign and not easy to understand, including hour long conversation with supervisor), technician comes out and tells me that refrigerator is too old and not covered under their $293 smart service agreement. He was borderline insolent, lacked customer service skills. at no time did they tell me that over 10 year product not covered. I then agreed to pay the $95 fee to diagnose the problem but that could not be done because smart agreement has to be cancelled first. I called the 866 number and was told that agreement takes over 24 hours to cancel. this was an absolute waste of time. and unnecessary unpleasant experience. I will now buy a new fridge but not from SEARS which they might have gotten. Is the repair service affiliated with Sears? don't waste your time with them. I wish I had seen these reviews before I lost all this time and dealt with a dead end. Just nothing they can do
