Sears Warranty Services and Appliance Maven are crooks!!
My elderly mother called Sears to have her Washing Machine fixed. They told her that she should get a warranty policy instead. They said it would be better. The Salesperson even told her how long she should wait before opening a ticket to get the machine fixed. She did as she was instructed. A repairman from Appliance Maven came out to her home and told her she needed another part. He told her it would cost an additional $75. She gave him a check. He said he would be back in a few days. Since then, we have called several times. Each time, we are given a time/appointment that a service person will come out to fix the machine. No one shows up. I called the Sears warranty areas and after several transfers, I was told the problem was a pre-existing issue and would not be covered. They even had the nerve to say "this was communicated to the customer". Why would we pay an additional $75 if it wasn't covered? This is a scam. Sears and Appliance Maven should be ashamed of themseleves.
